My best friend and her husband have had a few rough patches in their marriage, including an incident where he cheated on her with another woman while he was overseas. Hes also cheated on her with his own brothers wife, and supposedly the baby she’s now pregnant with is his. Despite all this, she’s stuck it out and tried to get the marriage back on track, as they have two children together, and she’s afraid that if she divorces him, she’ll lose her kids.
However, last week she called me very upset, because it turns out he accused her of cheating on him. The first words out of my mouth were ‘wtf he’s got some nerve to accuse you!’ She went on to tell me that an old boyfriend of hers has moved back into the area and she still has feelings for him. But that they have not been alone together, that she has in fact taken all kinds of measures to ensure that shes not alone with him, as she knows what its like to not trust her partner.
So, he still managed to accuse her of cheating, mainly because shes been turning him down when he wants sex, because hes been too rough and wont listen to her when she says to go easy. She flew off the handle and went and slept on the sofa. the next day, he apologied, and proceeded to buy he patio furniture!
No, his actions seem pretty fishy to me. He claims hes not cheating on her, but i dont believe it one bit.typically, the one who accuses, espcially in situations like this, are the ones who are cheating. And to buy her the patio stuf shesbeen askin for since last year NOW? seems too coincidental to me.
She could really use some advise, so i’m asking you here. Do you think hes cheating on her? AGAIN?
ETA: I want other opinions because i dont trust my own when it come to him. I dislike him immensly, and have since before they got married, but always put up with him for her sake.
Debi: it matters to her. She keps saying ‘i dont want to accuse him falsly."This isn’t the first time he’s accused her of cheating, only for it to wind up being him doing the cheating. if it was me, i’d have left him the first time, kids or not.
In Trouble: I’m involed because she’s my best friend and i’m the only one she can talk to. She can’t talk to her mom,she’s got so many health issues this might kill her, her dad has been dead 10 years., and yes, i do know she’s never cheated. She’ d tell me if she was because she trusts me not to judge her.
