I rescued a german shepard puppy, from the street. When I took her in, she was sick. I took her to the vet, she had parvo. I spent 1200 dollars and she was there a week. When she got back, she was fine. She is now over 1 yr old and is super active. she has thrashed my back yard, holes, ripped patio furniture, I mean destroyed everything. I love her to death, but am losing my patience. She goes to the dog park and lays in mud. Anyone with a pool, she jumps in. Part of me wants to give her away, but after spending 1200 dollars, I feel obligated to raise her.

We will be getting married on New Years at 11am. So it’ll be a hot summer. We dont want people sitting down stewing in the heat and have decided on a standup cocktail reception. It’ll be on the verandah and part of the pool patio. 40 guests Question is id like to set up a couple of bar tables, just a few so people can sit down , how many would i hire? I was thinking of dragging out my inlaws white cane patio furniture and making a lounge area? Is this a good idea also. We’ll be stringing up a white tarp for extra shade too.

I live in Houston and Ike just passed through. In preparation we put our patio furniture in the pool. The day after the storm the pool was dark brown and full of leaves. I got in an pulled all the furniture out. Also, that night, there was a nice enough breeze. So, I doused myself with off and slept on the patio.
The next day I noticed i had small red spots(not swollen or itchy) all over my feet, ankles, hands, wrists, and forearms. Very few are in the hairline of my arms or legs. The next day they started to swell and itch a little. Any idea what bit me or how to treat?
I have tried Benadryl and it hasn’t helped yet.
The ants that are most typical down here are fire ants. And I am very sure that is not what got me. There was no pain. they seem to have appeared over-night.

We do have chiggers. I’ve had them before and they itch pretty bad. These don’t itch that bad. But, they have turned from red spots to whelps like chiggers, only not as big and they don’t itch like chiggers.
