I have like 12 tables with 2-4 chairs per table. The tables are Wooden with a outer metal shell but the wood underneath is rottening away.

The problem is the smaller ones I want to use for chairs have a cardboard center. Does anyone know of anything that will waterproof cardboard?
I bought a used set of patio furniture. They are the kind that do not have cloth cushions. I found that the chairs look to have back sweat stains on them. Any suggestions for cleaning? Liquid soap didnt work.
