I am asking for tips and hints as how to clean my deck and patio furniture cushions. My name is Sam and my grandfather is coming down to visit tomorrow night from Ohio. My mother is on a cleaning spree and due to an accident I am unable to lift, push, or pull anything over 5 lb. with my right arm. I can do light work but I can only work until my arm starts to hurt. I am trying to stay out of the way and since everyone is busy cleaning the inside I want to clean the deck. We painted (not my idea) the porch last year chocolate brown regular house paint (also not my idea.) The biggest problem is that I live in Arizona, and AZ is mainly dirt and dust. The next problem is that our house consist of 8 people and 3 dogs, thusly the porch gets alot of dirt from our shoe and paw prints. One that my other grandpa that lives with me used to smoke but quit but there are remnents of ashes which really CLING to the paint.
Now AZ dirt and dust is not like regular dirt and dust. Our’s is a light brown and very, very fine. This causes the d&d to really stick and get into places that are hard to get to. I have tried to hose the proch down but it is to no avail. Everything sticks. Does anyone know how to clean the deck without messing up the paint and wood?

Next there is the problem of the patio furniture cushions. Cleaning them is probably the easy part but I need them to dry fast as well. They are covered in d&d and they smell like cigarettes and dogs. Does anyone know how to clean wash them and then have them dry fast? They are synthetic material but really asorb water. And I do not have a pressure washer but I can get a steam cleaner.

Thanks to everyone who replies!

Man vs. Wild & Survivorman show locations & situations that, for the most part, you’re not likely to encounter. How often are you in Africa, South America, the Arctic, or the South Pacific? I’d like to see a more realistic scenario where you’re locked out of your house & you have to make do & improve your situation with what you find outside your home, on the porch, in your shed, in your garage, in your vehicle, & (if the close enough) around your neighbors’ porch/shed/garage. For instance, a spigot makes a great water source, a propane grill can be used for heat & to cook wildlife that you manage to catch/kill, gardens tend to contain food, and tarps & patio furniture can be used to make a shelter.

I just know found out that my sister in law let the cat out of the bag.
She has bought 3 million dollars worth of real estate on a single income. Her husband is a lawyer but you cant tell me hes bringing in tons of money. He hasn’t worked in a year and she made him quit his lawyer job and she is a stay at home mom.
She hasnt made a house payment of almost 2 years and I was told through family she has taken a letter head from Washington Mutual and put in some story and acted she was the company and took it to 3 of the credit beuros to take off late payment digs. So she fraudulently took a letter from WaMu and did what they called "CUT & PASTE"
also I heard she did cut & paste and filed for forbearence. Which is if you qualify for financial hardship. I beleive she made her husband quit his job just so she can stay home and not pay a house payment. But she did every frauduently !
She has also ordered nice things over the internet, chandilliers, Neiman Marcus watch for ,000, the Wii, Patio furniture, clothes, wall tv’s, and told her credit card she never got the items. She does this stuff allllllll the time. Even a nice hotel suite she will stay in and make a huge stink over the stupidest stuff and they will cut the bill in half. Its amazing how much she gets away with !
She also let one of the houses go for "quick sale" and she said it never went on her credit. she claims she knows someone at WaMu ! I think she did another "cut & paste" and did something frauduently with the credit companies so its not on her credit.

Is there anything I can do to get her what she deserves ? Ive been her sister in law for over 13 years and she has always thought she was better than me. She thinks driving a Mercedes and Range Rover and having 3 million worth of property is cool. Its all material and she’s a cold hearted Bi.ch who is very manipulative.
Any advice to put her where she belongs. :)
Ummm NO IM NOT JELOUS ! I have nice things. I have a nice car, a Jaguar thank you ! I have a beautiful house. I pay cash for everything I have. Except the 2 cars and house. They are financed.
No I wouldnt do what she’s doing in a heart beat. I beleive in morals and doing whats right. cheating, lying and steeling is not right. I wouldnt do what shes doing.

We want to build an inground pool, but we aren’t sure whether to go with a chlorine or salt water system. We have heard a lot of pros and cons regarding salt water systems, but wanted to know from someone who has their pool for several years to see if they had problems with corrosion of stone, pool parts, &/or patio furniture or other outdoor items made from aluminum or stainless steel. Also, does anyone know anything about the NOGSYS filtration systems?
