I have new patio furniture that i love but every time i go out side there are neighborhood cats sitting on it or else all kinds of cat hair on it and its driving me crazy…is there maybe some kind of plant that has a smell or something that cats dont like? I could put these plants around my furniture and keep the cats away. I dont wanna start a big issure in the neighborhood or anything the cats are fine but i dont want my new stuff ruined and im allergic to the cats

I make pretty good money. My wife makes really good money. She has a sister who is married and can’t have kids. The sister and her husband recently graduated from college and have relatively low paying jobs. They just adopted a baby and are strapped for cash. My wife gave them about a thousand dollars to help out.
My wife spends lots of money, too. In the last six months she’s bought a new computer, a new sewing machine, a new patio furniture set, a few hundred dollars worth of new dishes, a few hundred dollars worth of crafting supplies, new furniture, the works. It’s ridiculous on many, many levels.
I spend very little money. I eat out for lunch every day and spend between and 0 dollars a month on a hobby of mine. My salary is enough to pay our mortgage and to pay our bills (lots of student loan debt). Her salary is what we use to pay down the credit card balances (almost done!) and to save to finish our basement.
Now my brother is in desperate financial difficulty. I want to help him. But as soon as I mention it, my wife gives me the whole "her money/our money" speech. She says that she works hard for her money and it isn’t fair for her to have to give her money to my brother. Blah blah blah. When I insisted she said that she would start putting her money in a separate account and that we could pay the bills 50-50 and that I could do whatever I wanted with "my money" that was left over.
My request to give money to my brother timed badly because she and I were already fighting this week. But this is getting ridiculous.
So what do others think of the "my money/our money" thing? I think it’s bull.
