I moved in with him 3 months ago, beautiful home, and am dying to decorate. Nothing crazy, just some basics – dining room table, outdoor patio set, desk, etc. But every time I bring this up he reminds me that he just bought a new bedroom set and living room set for us and that it was really expensive. Then he reminds me that he bought our house along with our place in the mountains. This is all true, but it doesn’t mean we no longer need a dining room table. We’re in our 30s… it’s reasonable to want a dining room table so we can have guests over.

So today I decided to jump on looking at the furniture on my own and found some stuff I loved at Crate & Barrel. When I sent him the links he got all funky about it and said it was really expensive. So then I went to Cost Plus which is WAY cheaper and still he was acting like I was asking him to buy me a Porsche or something. So I offered to pay for these things, but he said he doesn’t feel comfortable with that since I make so much less $ than him.

So what should I do? Every time I bring this up he gets in a bad mood.

What can I do to make it easier for her and myself? The majority of the time, she has no problems and seems like her usual self, but when the CCD hits, she will wander the house, stand in doorways and will have problems exiting the doorway (either she can’t find where to step outside the room, or she doesn’t know where she is). She’ll beg to go outside, only to stand on the patio and bark, or pace the patio then come inside and squat right in front of me, she hides behind furniture, She will walk over to people in the family, nudge them, and once they start petting them, she’ll walk away and and look at us like we are strangers. Thankfully, she is never alone, or if she is alone its never for more than few minutes at a time.

She has more good days than bad. Is there anything I can change in the house to make it easier for her, or anything I can do to help her?
          She just turned 17
